Libby: The WebMistress, the squirrel liason, that crazy girl over there talking to the squirrel. No matter what you call her, you can't help but notice that she's totally insane.  I mean, that she is completely devoted to all things squirrely.  Wait, that's the same thing.
As a freshman at RPI, Libby decided to tame the squirrel because it seemed like a good idea at the time.  Feeding sessions turned into photo shoots, which led to a discussion of putting the squirrel on a t-shirt.  In time, this led to the entire squirrel phenomenon.  Libby has been featured in the Times Union, a local newspaper, and was contacted by Fox News about appearing on their news show regarding the squirrel.  It must have been a slow news day.

Jameel: The Provider of webspace, funds, food, film, and fun.  One of the original conspirators in the great squirrel t-shirt planning committee.  Jameel has taken a back seat in the squirrel craze in the recent past, but he continues to show his support.  Jameel was interviewed in the Rensselaer Alumni Magazine about Alby.

Alby:  The squirrel herself.  Alby can be found during the daytime on nice days between the sage building and the lally building.  She has been known to haunt the undersides of airconditioners and the tops of trees.  Don't call her a "he" or an "it" or she will kill you.
Since getting her own webpage, Alby has become a media icon.
  • RPI's Marketing and Media Relations breifly put this site as their site spotlight.
  • Scary Squirrel World was kind enough to mention Alby on their site (but beware the evil MIDI sound)
  • The Albino Squirrel Preservation Society is using one of our pictures. I forget if we gave them permission.  They have also contacted me about starting a chapter here.
  • This guy is making an albino squirrel game.  He is also using our pictures, and gives us no credit for them.  He never asked permission.
  • Apparently Alby really enjoys playing planetarion. She also seems to have stolen some poor guy's picture and is passing herself off as human.  Bad squirrel!
  • Some Nature Center has Alby on their page.  That's pretty cool.  They use a quote from an older version of this site.
  • Somebody blogged us
  • These muffin fanatics took their own pictures of alby. She's so cuddly, who wouldn't want to take pictures of her?  They also archived the Times Union story for us.
  • Try entering Alby into Googlism
